Miserable, improper, slow warranty service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This 2019 Jayco Seneca motorhome that we purchased last year was our 3rd motorhome, and was hopefully going to be our last. However right after delivery the cracked hydraulic reservoir for the jack stands, and later the transmission cooler supply lines leaked fluid on our driveway. The following 7 months subjected us to the following; several fiberglass roof leaks over the LED lights apparently caused when the lights were installed, leading to a damaged 1/2 bath floor that had to be replaced from one of the leaks, A/C operation failure from loose wiring connections in the circuit breakers, sawdust / construction debris inside the dash instrument panel, blinking dash display and humming noise caused by a damaged wiring harness in the dash, very loud wind noise that was blamed on the drivers side slide that was subsequently improperly adjusted and that caused a damaged the roof membrane that had to be replaced and the slide a corrected adjustment. The gaskets mounted in the basement compartment door opening came detached from the frames. They were glued in place by RVOne service, and subsequently again began falling off before we traded the Jayco Seneca. In 7 months of ownership, we made 9 trips to RVOne Superstore in Tampa for warranty work, and during this time we had to deal with 3 successive service writers assigned to our "county". Every trip was scheduled well ahead by them. During the 7 months we were not able to take any of the trips that we planned, and we spent over $10,000 in installment bank payments and improvements. We discussed the history of our issues with RVOne Superstores Tampa Sales Manager and Store Manager. They were totally dismissive of our situation, offering no consideration for our time and costs. As a consequence, we could see no future in returning the Jayco Seneca to the selling dealer as required, for warranty work, or any work for that matter. At significant personal loss we decided to trade the 2019 Jayco Seneca for another motor home with an excellent reputation at LazyDays. We subsequently contacted the CEO for RVOne Superstores holding company and Jayco RV LLC. They were tactfully apologetic but offered no consideration for our horrific experience with the motorhome or the dealership experience, other than to suggest "if only we still had the motor home!"

Rv One Superstores - Purchased a LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Image 2
We purchased a 2015 Jayco Greyhawk about 2 weeks ago. As soon as we got home noticed the inside of the front tires were worn. Husband checked tie rod ends and all 4 were worn out. Called RV One and they said call Ford to see if it was still under warranty (knowing a 2015 was not still under warranty) and told us there was nothing they could do. They said we bought a used RV and should have asked questions. So far we've paid over $500 to make repairs to the front end. It still needs 2 new tires. Just had our first weekend trip and now notice water damage at the corner of the sofa slide out. Appears to be soft and have mold. Also, discovered a leak under the kitchen sink the first time I washed dishes. City water hose connector was stripped and had to make a run to Camper World to purchase a connector kit. BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY FROM RVONE. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR SALES!!!

Buyer Beware Bad Service Myrtle Beach SC

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Buyer Beware! I do agree with other comments that the sales team is awesome. However, service is a nightmare! We purchased a new 2020 J Flight 195RB. We towed it home and the first thing we had to replace were the rear stabilizers because one broke immediately because they are poorly made. We took the camper out for first time on Labor Day Weekend and when we went to cook the range top didn't work. We checked to make sure tank was not empty and tried someone else's and that was not the problem. We called Steve in service and he told us to call coast net and they would come to us, fix it, and there would be no charge. We called and not only would they not come to site for that type of problem, there would have been a charge. They also said that RV One tells this to customers all the time. We called Steve back and he was not helpful and transferred us to Mark (supposedly 1st employee of Jayco). Mark and I got into a very heated argument and I got loud when he started patronizing and talking to me in a condescending manner. Basically, other than try a different tank, there was no solution than for us to find someone in the area to fix it and Mark would talk to them. The next day, we weren't able to find anyone and we called RV One and made appointment to bring it in on Saturday 9/12/20. Since that time, we decided today 9/8/20 to leave camp early and called and left message with Steve at 8:00 am and one with service dept around 11:00 am. No phone calls yet as of 1:00 pm. As far as we can tell, the rest of the trailer is solid but we have lost all trust and respect for the Myrtle Beach Shop.

We had an air conditioner that was under warranty and was replaced.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We noticed in late June that our air conditioner wasn't working. We called to get an appointment and waited for a month to bring in our camper to verify and have the air conditioner replaced under warranty. We then waited another 2 months before the air conditioner arrived and was installed. The employees were very helpful. I know that one of the reasons for the delays is due to covid-19. We were unable to camp as much this summer, because of the ac. We did try to go and run fans, but it does get hot in July and August. I know that RVOne is very busy because all the bays were filled. The employees do try to work with you.

We bought a brand new unit to find out was on lot gor 386 days. We have had nothing but problems with this unit. We have mold and slide failure. They did not seal it before we left or even check them. They left metal shavings all over the rv. The damage is insane we have water pouring into our unit from the front door and slides that now have separated from the bottom. There fix trade out 4 months later with not the right credit score as we just purchased it. They are going to attempt to fix accordingly is the last word i recieved from the g.m. but i am not holding that to be true. I am posting as many pictures as this site will allow please dont go here.

Why do customers continue to deal with them?

People continue to live the dream of the RV life and shop with happiness in their future BUT as they fall in love with that perfect unit, they don't usually check out the stores BEFORE SHOPPING! Just thinking of the love of the road! THAT'S how we, too, got screwed and disappointed!

RV One got the manufacturer to replace with a brand new trailer

Original review Oct 02, 2019
We purchased a new Crossroads Sunset Trail from RV One Tampa one month ago. We took it on a short camping trip 2 days later. The mistake we made was not inspecting the camper well enough before we took delivery. Before closing the slide out after our 2 night trip, I climbed up to make sure there was no debris on the slide out and that is when I found a huge "blister" on the roof membrane. I called dealership upon our return and got an appointment to bring in for "inspection". That began our troubles. Upon showing up on the appointed day they claimed they had no record of an appointment, they assumed it was somehow my fault. Keep in mind we were not asking for a 30 minute oil change but we were only leaving the trailer there for inspection. After some time they agreed I could leave the trailer there to inspect. We were called 2 days later and asked to pick up the trailer while they waited for the manufacturer to decide if this was a warranty. After 1 week of no communication from the dealer I called and left 3 messages. Finally, 2 weeks later I got someone to answer the phone. Our service advisor, Chloe, stated that they were still waiting on the manufacturer to "approve" the claim. She said she tried to call us back but now, suddenly, they didn't have my right phone number. ( They never had a problem contacting me during the sales process ). I then called the manufacturer who informed me they have not received a claim for the roof ! Hopefully you will read this BEFORE spending any money at RV One. I now see all the other complaints and now understand what they are going through. What I have learned the hard way is this, they make you fully pay for the camper BEFORE they will do a pre-delivery inspection. So, if you still want to buy from them you better make sure EVERYTHING is good BEFORE you buy INCLUDING climbing on the roof and inspecting every inch or you will begin a task of getting it fixed which incudes towing it and leaving it for inspection and THEN you have to tow it home while you wait on them to get approval and parts THEN tow it back and leave for repairs..... I never dreamed this could happen. I now understand the other complaints that state the dealers drag out the repair process so that, before you know it, the warranty period is expired. I posted a picture of the blister on the roof, keep in mind when you look at the picture it was taken 2 weeks after delivery of brand new trailer. You can see the brown water stains inside and around the pocket where water has been standing, probably for months on the lot. I was told by Chloe that that will not order parts UNTIL they decide WHO is going to pay for the repairs, either the manufacturer or ME...Really? They either knowingly delivered a defective roof to me or FAILED to do a proper pre-delivery inspection. So, if you still want to buy from RV One, I hope you are lucky enough to get a camper with no problems.

The poorest customer service ever!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I just bought a $36k unit. Less than a month, I started having issues. The service department is so arrogant and rude that they just simply hang up the phone cause they don't really feel like talking to you. Never have i experienced such poor customer service!!! Never in my life, the service department is just disgusting. I will never return to this dealer and I already purchased another unit at Lazy Days .What a difference!!! Maybe you should go visit the service department there and learn a thing or two and apply it to your business!!! Good luck!!

Non-refund of deposit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Kendra verified that we would receive a full refund of our deposit if the purchase of a new fifth wheel didn’t work out. Within a week of placing $1000 deposit on a unit, it became apparent we were going to have to pursue a different route and requested a refund. She said it would be processed and should take 30-35 days to complete. Now 45 days and still empty handed. RIDICULOUS!! I’ve received numerous excuses involving internal problems. The latest reasoning was the employ handling the refund had quit and no one picked up the process. Now they say that the process is going to have to be re-initiated and should be complete in the pat answer “30-35 days”. REALLY!!! What a scam!!

My husband and I are having the same problem with getting our $2000 deposit back. We are extremely upset.

It takes them 2 minutes to take it out of our account but up to if not longer than 30 days to get it back. this is pathetic.

Had the same problem. Had to dispute the charge on my credit card.

Well it seems RV One does not care once you drive your RV off the lot. It has a defect or is missing parts that prevent water intrusion and they are giving us a terrible run around instead of help.

RV One Superstore Orlando

Original review Jan 22, 2020
We traded a perfectly good 2015 motor home for a larger 2018 motor home that we found has certain defects. We need to have further water damage stopped and RV One is skirting around this issue. They want to rip everything out and said they won't have an answer for us until they do. I am very dissatisfied with the service at this company.

We bought a new 2020 Jayco Precept from Casselberry Florida and been nothing but a nightmare from the day we went to take delivery. It was not ready and the extras we ordered were not even installed.

Driver seat was broken among other things, We went on 4 trips and had to and had to cut them all short due to the issues. Last trip I even had to go to the hospital due to high blood pressure. Your general manager Cindy has gone out of her way to help, But your VP of Service is the worst I ever delt with in my 45 years as a Vice President.

Jen Cameron I sent several text messages to Jen Cameron which she has not had the courtesy to return. At this point I just want to get all the issues repaired so we can trade it in.

Purchased new 2019 Jayco Seneca March 2019. Jack stand didn't work when go home, reservoir cracked, leaking hydraulic fluid on driveway, weeks to get approval to replace, transmission hose to transmission cooler leaking transmission fluid on driveway, three holes in roof, rainwater on kitchen counter, 1/2 bath floor, had to have floor replaced in 1/2 bath, rear jack stand failed, leaking more hydraulic fluid on driveway, misaligned slide, damaged wire harness behind dash by manufacturer, repair approved by manufacturer and performed by Freightliner, I had to pay up front and it took 6 weeks to get reimbursed, it goes on... 9 trips to dealer for warranty work in 7 months, each warranty request took weeks to get approval and repaired. Resolved: Missinformation

Updated by user Nov 30, 2019

All of our $ and deposit was returned.

Original review Oct 31, 2019
We purchased a used rv from the Altoona RV One based on the information from Matt (I think he is the general manager) indicating that we could get one side of the unit we were purchasing painted for $300. One side was badly faded.

Matt gave us the contact information for the company to use so I called them and asked for an estimate. We received the estimate from this company the day we were to pick up our unit which was great except for the fact that the estimate was $3000 + dollars.
When we got to the store location I told them I wasn't going to pay that amount and the deal was not going through unless they dropped their price further to compensate for the difference in the estimate.
The long and short of it is that they told us we had to pay in full before we could get the unit (which we did) but now Matt won't return my phone calls inquiring as to the status of our refund.

I have been told that he would be calling me two days in a row but no call. Whenever I call the office he is either out or in a meeting--I know he must be a busy person but I think I deserve at least the respect of a return call.
The salesperson (Dylan Sweeny) has been excellent about returning any call or text but his boss isn't setting a very good example.
We are owed $14,355.67 plus they took a $500 Visa deposit.

Nov 2,2019. I visited the store and talked with Andrea.

She assured me my refund was being processed.

She said Matt had been very busy with numerous returns from their RV show. She actually called me back later that day, the first returned call from this store other than Dylan, and said she had processed return to accounting.
